January 21st Inclement Weather
In the interest of safety, PRACTICE IS CANCELED TODAY. The weather forecast is calling for between 4 and 6 inches of snow this morning throughout the area where the majority of our players live, and worst of call, is calling for a mixture of sleet and freezing rain on top of that around the time everyone would be leaving practice today. The heaviest snowfall appears to be scheduled for the time we would be traveling to practice.
Any potential cancelation of the15s tournament for today will be made by USAV and will be posted here: www.geva.org. As of 6:15 AM, no communication has been received.
With the memories of driving through the October snowstorm still in mind, everone please exercise caution today, and be safe. Regular practices will resume starting Monday, January 23rd.

Striking the Balance

Results happen. It's how they measure up to your goals that matters.
Both success and failure frequently frustrate athletes in their pursuit of achieving their potential. Everyone forgets that neither success nor failure is objective. The only success that I guarantee 100% of the time is if you take an action, you will get a result. The only guaranteed failure is to take no action. Active and fluid goal setting, both on the individual and the team level, enable the confidence and self-awareness to know how to handle what would otherwise be difficult situations. Confident and self-aware players and teams are the hardest to beat. Confidence and self-awareness also find their way off the court, too, where it really matters most.
